2. Now explain what they are
Aria and Denesha: Sirivae is something I made up. I just kind of threw all the components I wanted them to have into one big melting pot and voila! Basically, Sirivae are arrogant, proud and beautiful. Most of them don’t really care about anything but blood and sex. Denesha is kind of an outcast because she prefers a calmer life and doesn’t care about those things very much. Aria however, well, for any of you who know her, that’s her life. Sirivae have the ability to wield very powerful barrier magic as well as fierce blood spells. Denesha has managed to find the power to heal people, so in combat she’s virtually useless because she gave up her abilities to hurt people to help them instead. Aria will kill anything and everything she feels like, and if it’s too big for her to kill, she’ll get someone else to do her dirty work.

Drystan: Hiran, another thing I made up. Don’t ask me where I got the name, I just thought it up one night while I was roleplaying. Originally I made him as a counter to character Savaana Samada and now he’s just bloomed into his own personality. He’s a nature spirit, so he can manipulate anything that comes out of the earth, sort of like a ranger…but I didn’t want him to be a ranger!

Tristram Finrall: Phouka: Ha! Something I didn’t make up. Phouka’s are a form of fairy fey folk. They are shape shifting fey, favoring the form of a dog, horse, rabbitts and even a goat. Their fur is always dark when they shift and they usually have fierce golden eyes. It is NOT a were animal. They are usually considered benevolent, which is funny because Tristram is kind of an asshole. Phouka like to play tricks on people and delight in confusing them, but they do not harm humans.

Isadora Colmar: Wood Fairy: I think you can figure that one out

Madeline Landerr: Banshee: Traditionally, banshees were the harbingers of death, more specifically the deaths of an important person. However, I put my own spin on her and instead of being a harbinger of death, she is actually a sweet woman, who has a bad rap for being a banshee. She is prematurely aged, which means no man will go near her. If she knows the love of a man before her body ages forty in human years, she will cease to age and actually revert back to the age she’s supposed to be. If not, she will continue to age and then turn into the image of a banshee everyone knows about. Another character created within an rp with for her character Eclipse that took her own stance in my story.

Orasmyn Shanrai: Burmese Python Nag: A Nag or Naga is a half human, half snake diety from Hinduism. Now, I decided not to give Orasmyn a god complex because let’s face it, he doesn’t really need anymore help. Instead, he’s a ladies man and he will follow women around simply so he can mate with them. Humans are his favorite dinner.

4. Who would be most likely to screw over everyone else for money?

That’s a tough one, I’d have to say Isadora. Love my little apothecary but she can be very flighty and tricky and if it meant she got some new poisons or something out of it, she’d definitely do it.

5. What would the strangest romantic pairing be?

Tristram and Denesha, hands down. Tristram is loud, arrogant, and he likes to spend most of his time fighting. He’s a good lover, but Denesha needs someone gentle and as quiet as she is. My calm little sirivae HATES chaos and likes to read romance novels. So she needs one of those guys.

6. Why are these your favorites?

They are all complex and radically different. Using them in roleplays, it’s a lot of fun to see them cope with adversity. Within my story, they’re all trying to figure each other out as well as trying to live around one another.

7. If you had to get rid of all your characters but one, who would you choose?

Aria. She’s my baby. The only reason I even came up with any of the others was through her and her endeavors, both in the roleplay world and in my story. Without her, nothing else really exists.

Aria: Yeah I am kind of a big deal aren’t I? *grins*

8. Who would you trust to do anything for you, no matter how crazy it was?

Hmmm, I’d actually have to say Tristram. For as much of a jerk as my phouka can be, he’s pretty fiercely loyal…lus he’d do it because I’m the writer and I can kill him.
